THE RUNWAY HUT STORY
DESIGNED BY PILOTS FOR PILOTS
As flying farmers we wanted to share our privilege of operating out of a farm strip and provide a unique get away experience for any pilot looking for their next adventure.
We've kept it simple. A grass strip, a shepherds hut, a BBQ and a couple of chairs.
Strictly accessed by air, this exquisite experience is like no other.
Launching in May this year our Runway Hut offers the perfect combination of flying adventure with great comfort.
The hut itself is a newly built, designed to suit both flying couples and flying friends. An easily adaptable king or twin bed with cotton sheets, a flushing loo, hot shower, kitchenette, BBQ and wood burner.
Accomodation
The Hut can be setup as either a twin or a king bedroom layout, designed to suit all visitors. It has an ensuite bathroom with hot and cold running water and a flushing loo, a small kitchenette equipped with all the cooking essentials. Outside there is an easy to use gas BBQ with a boiling hob, some lounger chairs for those relaxed afternoons and a picnic bench for Al-fresco dining. There is a small fold down table for eating inside on cooler nights and a wood burner.
If there is more than two of you we can also accommodate for tent pitching at £20 per tent.
Food
You have options.
Option 1: Bring your own! Outside the hut you'll find a gas BBQ and hob ready to help you cook whatever you need. The fridge will keep your food fresh and you'll find all the crockery on the shelf!
Option 2: With our fill the fridge service we can stock the fridge with some of our home grown steaks or burgers, potatoes, salads and some bacon and eggs. You tell us what you want and we will make sure its ready for you. We can of course provide food for our vegetarian friends too. (Please note additional charges apply, ask for more info).
Option 3: We have a super pub just down the road. The Red Lion at Cranford - check out their menu! We can arrange a pub drop off and collection for just £25.
Option 4: You can explore! Let us know what you'd like, other pubs, Chinese, Indian and we can arrange your transport! We have lots of good recommendations.
